Quadratschulz SQ10 EXT

Demo movie

This movie shows the following features of the QUADRATSCHULZ SQ10 EXT:

  1. Synchronized playback: A ROLAND TR-808 is used as a clock master. Hitting the Start button on the TR-808 also starts the QUADRATSCHULZ SQ10 EXT and the KORG SQ-10.

  2. Programming a step sequence: Using the step switches of channel X to mute some of the steps.

  3. The clock speed switch: Quantized switching between normal and double speed.

  4. The clock speed inputs: A patch cord connects the gated output of channel Y with the EVEN SPEED IN jack. The step switches of channel Y are then used to program a tempo sequence, which produces very interesting rhythm patterns.

  5. Two clock sources: EVEN & ODD. Demonstrating how to program an odd quarter triplet shuffle rhythm. A patch cord connects the odd step output with the STEP IN jack.

  6. Reset programming. Finally it is shown how to use channel Z for programming a reset step. As the output from channel Z is normalized to the RESET IN jack, no additional wiring is necessary.

This demo shows a ROLAND TR-808 which connects to the QUADRATSCHULZ SQ10 EXT using a standard Sync-24 cable. The QUADRATSCHULZ SQ10 EXT is completely connected to a KORG SQ-10 sequencer. The sound is produced by a KORG MS-20 which is triggered from the channel X output of the QUADRATSCHULZ SQ10 EXT.
